Good morning,

I been using FG400 with MF pads on rupes and always finished with SF4000 because there always some minor haze i could see with light.

I been seeing people using fg400 as one step with LSP ready and looks like they used polishing pad, some light cutting pads

any pad suggestion for fg400 that can finish without haze?

I have had good luck with Buff and Shine/Uber orange on hard paints and green on softer ones. On some paints, I've even had decent finishing ability on a Rupes blue mf pad and gone over it with an aio to finish.

Not sure what pad to recommend for RUPES users but I generally will use either a blue light cutting or white polishing pad from the Hybrid lineup driven by the Flex 3401. Either will get this one step to LSP ready depending on paint behavior and pad choice.

I use an orange uber pad or a megs MF pad on hard paint sndget good results for a 1 step. If i am doing a 2 step i follow that with some sf4000

On a Rupes I'd use there green pad on harder clears and there yellow on softer clears. Another suggestion for your Rupes would be the new Meg's burgundy thin foam disc. They cut and finish very nice, even on fairly soft Honda paint.

Until you do a test spot you won't know. There is no one pad for all paint or one product for all paint. Do a test spot to see which looks best.

What Mike said, Menz with the hybrid line is awesome.

Just got done doing a one step with Menz FG400. Typically orange pads are the go to. For harder clears go with a dense or mf pad. For softer an uber green is great

I used a LC flat orange to do the Camry I posted about.

On the black KIA that I recently posted about I used LC white CCS pads & my long-throw (not sold here) machine.

haha yes I saw that post,

Just did a one step today with FG400, Boss G15 and LC Hydrotech Tangerine. Came out nice! Going to finish it off with a LC CCS 5.5" Blue and Pinnacle Liquid Soveran.

Yep, pretty soft. FG400 ate thru the swirls really quickly. I was ready to break out the SF4000, then realized it didn't need it.

What people need to realize that if you do a good one step.

I mean try to remove a decent amount of the defects.

That fg400 doesn't really micro mar or leave compounding swirls, on NORMAL PAINT, soft paint even PF2500 will leave a haze

So back to my point, after your done with fg400, its not a big deal to go behind it with sf4000, the damage is gone your not trying to get out compounding swirls, like 105,101, or 100 leaves.

all you have to do is seriously go over with sf4000 like a wax and you will see a major enhancement in gloss.

After I'm done with fg400, the sf4000 step can take me less then 25 mins if I'm not being paid accordingly.

This is why the UNDERRATED PRODUCT OF GRIOTS GARAGE IS AWESOME. WITCH ONE IS THAT ?

...........

BOSS CREAM FINISHING SEALANT.

this is a fine finishing polish but with protection in it.

If your going to do a one step with fg400. Chances are your going to wax it. So why not use a finishing polish with protection in it?

Its an amazingly under rated product.

Again fg400 is such an amazing product it can be used as a one step and even afterwards, you don't need to Polish out any compound swirls you can over it with sf4000 in less then 20 mins and it looks amazing.

Huge props to menzerna
