My girlfriend just bought a new (to her) Lexus es350 I'm thinking it may be dried soda or some then along that lines it feels almost like glue if I go after it with an all purpose cleaner it just holds my micro fibers and pulls bristles out of my brushes any ideas on how to go about removing it? 3794437945

Sorry to tell you this, but it looks like it's not what's on the dash - but what's happened to the dash.

Someone put some solvent based chemical on that dash vinyl that's breaking it down. The sun through the windshield is just acceleration the process.

Cleaning it off may help - but it will likely be dis-colored with white streaks. You may be able to re-dye it after that.

What do you think I could use to clean it off and any recommendations for the dying it?

Try goo gone or a citrus based degreaser, dilute it well.

I'd take it to a professional detailer and get their opinion. IF you want them to do it, that's one thing, however, I'd just ask for their advice and do the work myself unless I'd have to buy product I'd only use once that is very expensive....... just my 2 cents.

I have the exact same thing on the wife's 2009 Mazda 6. It's only on the passenger side. The driver side is fine.

I tried Meguiars APC 10:1 and all it did was leave lint from the towel stuck all over the dash pad. It's just as sticky.

I thought the shop spilled something on there when I brought it in. I didn't think about the sun causing it. I'll have to look into this.
