The owner of this vehicle contacted me last month with interest in having the inside and outside cleaned. After meeting with the owner and her husband to look over the vehicle it was in desperate need of some attention on the exterior. They are due to have their second child in a few weeks and wanted the inside cleaned up good also.

I started out with working on the interior the first evening. There was some light staining on the carpets and seats, however it is in pretty good shape compared to a lot of the trucks I have seen.

For the cleaning of the interior I used Folex and the Bissel LGM on the carpets and seats. I used the Tornador on most of the plastics. Plastics were then dressed with 303.

On to the exterior. The vehicle received the typical decon and wash as every other vehicle with Iron X and Nanoskin wash Mitt.

Correction Process
The paint on this was in pretty rough shape. The owners said they have never had the exterior done since owning it. I tried out my favorite combo of Hyper Polish on Orange Foam however this was not going to cut it. I had just received the full line up of Griots Garages Boss line of compounds and polishes. Quite a few people really like the Fast Correcting Cream so I decided to give this a try on MF pads.

Onto the pictures

In this pictures you can see just how much cleaner the paint looks. There was a definite difference in color after being compounded.

Finished Exterior Shots
Even though you get very little dust with the Fast Correcting Cream I pulled the vehicle outside and gave it a quick wash again and sealed it up with Hydr02, which looks great on white vehicles. Really makes the paint glow.

Excellent turnaround on that Dodge.

The Griot's Fast Correcting Cream finished down quite well for just one step, especially for mf pads.
How was your experience using it?

I absolutely loved using the Fast Correcting Cream. You get next to no dust from it with a very long work time. It pretty much never dries out which is nice and it is very easy to remove. It also provides a good deal of cut when used with MF pads and does finish down very well. I am sure if the budget on the job would have allowed I could have cleaned it up further with a finishing polish, but in this case it finished down very well. This was the first time I used Griot's mf pads also, which were also very nice. I will be ordering a few more of those at some point.

Looks great, may I ask what you used for a polisher?

Rupes 15 for 5.5" pads
Rupes Mini for 3" & 4" pads
HF air DA for 2" pads

how long did it take you for whole process?

I would say I had roughly 14 hours in it. I am sure if I didn't take the time to document stuff so much I could have shaved an hour or two off that time, but I only do one vehicle per weekend so I am typically do not rush.

Great job! I agree that Hydro2 looks great on white. Have you had a chance to try Hydrofoam? I'm lovin it lately.
