So, for those who are running a G21, are you running it in 6.5" mode or 5" ? I have a G15 i'm running with a OEM 5" but hear mixed reviews on what to do with the 21. I'm looking for ultimate control a smooth ride, and most importantly awesome correction.

For those with experience running each plate can you let me know your thoughts?

Thanks!

Have been running a 5" plate on my G21 from the start (did the same with my rupes 21 for the most part).... no issues or complaints so far.

For me the reason I got a G21 was to have one machine as 5" and one as 6". I use my Rupes 21 with a 5" and Griots with a 6". I have the 5" for the Griots but never put it on yet. Plus its nice to have a backup machine.

For compounding I use the Griot's with the 5 inch backing plate and a microfiber pad or orange pad. There's much better correction with the 5 inch versus the 6.5. For polishing I use the 6.5.

I use the 5" plate most of the time on my G21 but on larger vehicles with more flat panels I'll use the 6" plate. I actually ordered another G21 this week to have one with a 5" plate and another with a 6" plate, that way I don't have to swap them out. :props:

Thanks Billy and everyone else for their feedback. I think the obvious play is to convert it to the 5" and use the 6 for backup.

I appreciate everyone's input and Billy thanks again for sending out that pad, I really appreciate it.
