I hate the shine of many interior protectants and was wondering if a simple wipe down with a wet cloth would be ok. Has anyone every seen the dash or door panel crack due to prolonged UV exposure on a car less than 10 years old?

I have seen some fading on interior panels in well less than 10 years. If you prefer a matte finish try something like Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant, or Ultima Interior Guard Plus.

Ultima Interior Guard Plus 4 oz., interior protectant, rubber & vinyl protectant, rubber dressing (http://www.autogeek.net/ultima-interior-guard-4.html)

Take a vacation in FL, you'll see it on cars that are 3-4-5 years old, with the windows tinted.

I would have to second the above, especially the Ultima, it leaves virtually no trace you have even applied it.

Use something like CG Silk Shine. No shine at all despite the name, lasts a very long time, and makes things very dark, but not shiny.

Here in Saudi arabia, we have sun almost all year long. Even in the "winter" the cars get baked due to the lack of clouds and rain. So yes, extreme exposure to UV rays and sunlight will severely damage interior trim. Most of the cars I see will have a cracked dash, or dry cut up leather, Oxidation and cracked paint, messed up tint, etc.. The problems with sunlight damage cannot be listed.

So yes, Interior need to be protected! Though in relativity less harsh/cold conditions. Is the interior subject to any damage?

We see a lot of cracked and uv damaged dash's here in FL.

I have dark ceramic tint and use a proper fitting sun shield in my front window to help protect the interior.

Like stated above it depends on where you live. If your car is expose to a good amount of UV rays, then I would say yes to protectants.

What about 303? How would you compare it against WG or Ultima?
