I recently got my hands on some CarPro HydroFoam and decided to test it out on my daily today. I usually maintain this car with Hydro2 but it's been a few months since I applied any so it needed a a little refreshing.

For those of you who don't know, HydroFoam is CarPro's new car wash shampoo that leaves behind a protectant after you have cleaned and rinsed.

The product dilutes 9:1 and can be used in either a foam cannon or straight in your wash bucket. It smells very similar to Hydro2.

Here you can see the water behavior on the car after a rinse down with my pressure washer. The car sits outside and it's been a while since I've applied Hydro2 so it wasn't repelling water the way it normally does.

On to the wash process. The directions said to foam the entire car, but I decided to work on small sections at a time. I let the product dwell for about 15 to 30 seconds before wiping with my mitt.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y179/lookitsharis/lookitsharis011/IMG_6928_zpskfzbain3.jpg (http://s5.photobucket.com/user/lookitsharis/media/lookitsharis011/IMG_6928_zpskfzbain3.jpg.html)

I used my mitt to wipe in straight lines just as I would when washing with any other shampoo. HydroFoam cleans just the same as any other car wash that I normally use. Feels slick too.

I worked my way around the car, rinsing immediately after cleaning each section.

I was very impressed after rinsing each panel. Beading was back to the way it should be. HydroFoam works just as CarPro claims.

It even works great on wheels.

I dried the car off with my Master Blaster. The water just flew right off.

I'm happy with the results. CarPro never fails to impress me with their innovative products. I can see this as a great maintenance wash product for cars coated with CQuartz. It's a bit pricey, but it does a great job. Would be a great item to grab during the next sale. :xyxthumbs:

Nice review. I recently used it on my Sti which is coated with PA Cosmic. It hadn't been washed for a couple of months and I did the same as you as far as doing smaller sections. Very slick and dried with Metro as well.
Anyone that is hesitant on this product, don't be. It's fantastic!

Nice review with some great photo documentation.

I too think it's pricy, but if doing wash and wax jobs, it's a great option. Awesome beading for a quick wash.

Very nice. Thanks for the review. Appears to be an excellent product. Love the Mazda too. They have a pretty sweet looking line-up going right now. Almost bought one. Thanks again & take care.

Peace,

Darrin

Thanks everyone! I'd like to do a longevity test with this stuff perhaps on my red Miata. I plan on doing a light polish to remove the existing protection and then washing with HydroFoam right after. All subsequent washes will be done with a shampoo like Duragloss car wash concentrate. Curious to see how this stuff holds up against Hydro2.

Hi, please rate turtle creme wax protect and shine and how to get best results with it because carnauba wax is hard and it is difficult to take off shine from it http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/05/9cd3297775853dc420f4645360ff3107.jpg
