Hey guys. It's been a long time since I have been on the forum so I have not been keeping up with the latest news. I have been using all purpose cleaner plus for a while. I love everything about it. The way it cleans multiple surfaces including carpets. My customers love the smell of it. Well I am almost out now and I know that it has been discontinued. Does anyone know what replaced it and what you can tell me about it so that I can put it on my next order? Thank you

There was no direct replacement from Meguiar's. A lot of people seem to like this, though: DP Hi-Intensity All Purpose Cleaner Plus (http://www.autogeek.net/dp-apc-plus.html)

I haven't used it though. I use OPC, the price point seems too high for a lot of pros, though.

Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner D101 will be a sufficient replacement. 10:1 ratio making 10 gallons of cleaner for $16.99.

I guess that's a matter of opinion, my recollection is a lot of D103 users did not consider D101 an adequate replacement.

Right, the 103 was a low foam cleaner that made it good for carpets. I was lucky and bought 2 gallons before they discontinued it. I will be sad the day that I run out.

Meg's u can drink it so weak ,to me these are dummy proof consumer retail products, when I'm detailing ,I never want to scrub anything to much work,u gotta get the right chemicals and let them work for u .Spray and wipe that's it,maybe a little scrub here and there that's it.with so much experience you will no how to cut corners and still do a nice job.

IIRC D103 is still available in 5gal containers.

We were sad to see D103 get discontinued as well. We used to sell a ton of it!

Rest assured there are other alternatives!

D101 is a great choice, as is DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus. There's no denying the price premium for DP, but there's also no doubt in my mind that it's the best all purpose cleaner available at any price point. We spent a lot of time developing this formula to ensure it outperforms anything else available. You will love it. :dblthumb2:

DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus VS. 10 year old leather seats (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/89733-dp-hi-intensity-apc-plus-vs-10-year-old-leather-seats.html)

What is DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus you ask? DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus forgoes harsh chemicals that are harmful to you and the environment and instead relies on smart chemistry. DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus is strong enough to remove grease from engine bays, yet gentle enough to clean fine leather upholstery at the proper dilution ratio. DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus leaves behind a fresh citrus fragrance inside the vehicle.

When a powerful cleaner is needed for engines, tires, and fender wells – dilute 4:1. For light to moderate dirt and grime inside the vehicle, dilute 10:1. Feel free to play chemist in your detail shop and experiment with the dilution ratios! No matter the dilution, DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus will not leave a film on the surface.

If you want something that smells pleasant, is relatively inexpensive and can be diluted 20:1 I kinda like the Chemical Guys Citrus All Clean. Not to most potent APC but does the job well for both interior and exterior jobs I've encountered.

For me, Meg's Super Degreaser is the go to product for coated leather seats. I used to clean them with D101 but when I tried Super Degreaser I realised just how much more efficient it was. For carpets and fabric seats I still use D103. I still have about half a gallon of concentrate left. I hope they still offer the 5 gallon size when I run out.

You can still buy in the 5 gallon size. I buy from a distributor by me.
