I've been out of the game for about a year, work and life got in the way. Cars have been washed and spray waxed during the year, but need a total detail.

Is the meguiars twins still a top combo for compound and polish?

I see griots came out with a new Machine.

I'm gearing towards a coating this time around. Which one is best nowadays? My new truck is a blue metallic.

I'm sure I'll have more questions lol

I would say coatings depends on if you've applied coatings before. If you haven't the Blacfire coating is good and very easy to apply, Pinnacle Black label v2, 22ple. If you've done coatings before my favorite is Gtechniq C1 topped with EXO. The 22ple still isn't a bad choice. Obviously just my opinion. I'm sure other people will have a lot of other opinions.

I'm leaning towards Cquarts. I've never done a coating.

Cquartz finest is not available to just anyone, it has to be applied by a certified installer.

Yes they are still where they have been.

Yes sir. You may want to research a bit on it to get up to speed. Meguiar's also launched a new machine.

Thanks for the welcome back Mike, I bought the rupes 21 when they first came out. That's about the time I got busy with work and detailing stopped, it got used Maybe 3 times. Been researching a lot last night, and it seems it's still one of the top machines.

To everyone else, thanks for all the info!
