For you optibond tire gel users, after applying it to the tire how long are you waiting to wipe it as a final wipe (I hope I make sense )??

You do make sense. I typically apply in multiple, thin layers. I level things out across the tire surface using an applicator so I never considered a final wipe before seeing this question. That's my recommendation to you to save some time.

That said, depending on weather conditions the drying time will vary so perform a touch-test on the tire and as long as the tire feels dry you are good to go on any wipe.

I apply mine via an air gun @ 100% strength. I immediately level it with an applicator. Works great that way. I posted a thread with a video about doing it since I was asked so many times.

This is what I use to apply Optibond. Squirt a line on the pad, length wise, and spread on the tire. I don't see a need to wipe anything afterwards, unless maybe you are going to drive the car immediatly after applying.

Im thinking do a final wipe to prevent sling?

Opti-bond is water-based. Unless you drive off immediately after application you are not going to sling anything off.

I've never done a "wipe" after applying and never had issues with sling.
