Car wash residue?

So last week I used the Blackfire AIO then put a coat of Mothers Synthetic wax on the next day. Hadn't washed the car until yesterday and when I got done I noticed a lot of places where I missed removing something. I didn't notice these all week though. I washed with 2 one ounce packets of Meguirs Wash and Wax (directions say one pack per gallon of water) and 2 cap fulls of ORW, in at least 3 gallons of water. Washed as normal, did a lot of rinsing, and while drying, but mostly after drying, I noticed all the residue. Some looked like dried wax, others were splotches of small white dots. Took some muscle to get everything off. Any one experience anything like this before? TIA
