This past weekend I detailed a coworkers truck, that I have been meaning to do for a while. He takes good care of it but, had some minor wash swirls and a few random scratches. So I decided to put some new products I just got from AG to good use.

Washed - Optimum car wash
Clayed - the yellow stuff from a friend in Canada!!!
Compound - Menzerna Powergloss w/ green LC @ 1700 rpm
Polished - Menzerna SIP w/ white LC @ 1700 rpm
Sealant - Duragloss 501 (love this stuff)
Wax - 1 coat of Collinite 915 followed w/ 1 coat of Collinite 845
Wheels - DP wheel gaze topped with Collinite 845
Tires - Z-16

Sorry no befores all afters -

Super, Super job..I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the SIP finished off, thought you might have had to go to 106 or the micro to get that level of gloss after the PG..but you did it! Question for ya: how long did you let the 105 cure prior to applying the collinite? I am a big fan of collinite and like to use it in conjunction with a sealant. I spoke with Bill at Duragloss and asked him that specific question. I had bought the 601 as well and he said with the 601 I could go on immediately after buffing off the 501 and apply the collinite. Just FYI. Absolutely brilliant job on that paint!!:applause:

Thanks guys for all the great comments. Richy, I waited about 24 hours in between layers of the DG105 and Collinite. My only mistake was on the first few panels I put the 915 on to thick and it was a pain to buff off. AL-53 told me thin as possible with Collinite and once I got it on thin enough I had no problems buffing.

Sweet looking truck.

Marty's truck in Back to the Future was a Toyota Tacoma or Hilux. I'm not sure but it may have been an '84 or '85. Man, I loved that truck.
