After awhile I've accumulated several 1 gal. containers. I used this to round them up, & make it easy to retrieve:
Home Depot sells a wooden crate, which can be modified, easily with a little work working skills.
Dis-assembling is the hard part, so as not to break the slats. I then use a miter saw & cut the slats to 16 inches. The two end pieces are 7 1/2 inch, cut a little from both sides, so the hand hold is centered. For assembling I used 9/16 inch staples (two per slat), & carpenters glue. Then paint. I then asked CG for the decals, & used a label writer to id contents in the box.
I also modified one for the cat, (old), so she can hop onto the freezer easily, then put a sandbag in it to steady. The freezer leads to her overhead playground.
