2014 Toyota Camry scratch removal and basic wash & vac…

A Co-worker mentioned some scratches she had on her Camry. “People” holding keys in their hand while opening the door had put a fair amount of scratches in the door handle areas. I don’t understand how they were on ALL the door handles, but the driver’s handle was most severe.

The scratches were her primary concern and she was very happy with the results. I only polished the door handle areas. She may do a 1 step with me in the near future.

I always explain SOME of the scratches may not come out if they are too deep, but I will try my best. Under promise and over deliver sorta deal.

Wash – Meguiars Hyperwash / Wolfgang Quart Foamaster Foam Gun / Chemical Guys Chenille Microfiber Premium Wash Mitt / Supreme Guzzler Waffle Weave / Werner Pro Deck Aluminum Work Platform
Bugs – Stoners Tarminator / Safe Scrub Bug and Tar Pad
Wheels / Tires / Wheel Wells – Stoner’s Tarminator / Poorboy’s World Spray and Rinse Wheel Cleaner 1:2 / Detailers Pro Series Hi-Intensity APC 1:4 / Speed Master Wheel Brush / TUF SHINE Tire Brush / Clean Wheel Lug Nut Brush / Mothers Wheel Brush / Generic Tire Brush / Optimum Opt-Bond Tire Gel / Meguiars D156
Paint – Porter Cable 7424XP / 3D HD CUT / Chemical Guys Hex Cut Medium Cutting Pads (Orange) / EZ Grip Hydro-Tech Hand Applicators Trio /D156
Trim – CarPro PERL
Interior - DP Hi-Intensity APC / RIDGID WD1270 / CarPro PERL mixed with 303 Aerospace Protectant (had some of each left).
Glass – DP Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner / IPA 10% mix / Waffle Weave Glass Towels

What’s funny is in preparing this write up, I looked at the EZ Grip applicators and I used the LEAST aggressive one! Darn. I just felt them and went by feel. Ooops. I could have saved a lot of hand/wrist effort if I used the right one. :(

Cool to know even the least aggressive pad and hand action works well with HD CUT!

Looks really good, amazed that you removed all those scratches by hand. Good work.

Well, I hit what i could with the orange hex bad around the handle, but under the handle was all by hand. maybe 3-5min hand polishing each door handle. Not too bad.
