Ive seen some people post here before, that when you polish a whole car, and have a lot of pads, some of you have a bucket yo dump your pads in with a premade solution of soap and water, then you get a new pad.
Question

What solution do you guys make? Does it have some citrus degreaser or just soap?

I just purchase a commercial "pad" cleaning product. I also use a 1 gallon bucket, for the cleaning.

I am just a hobbyist at home, so don't need anything fancy. I bought some Snappy Clean (http://www.autogeek.net/snappytool.html). It works well and is cheap. I divided it up for 1 gallon mix. I also use dishwashing detergent for waxing pads as it really helps break down the wax.

DP Polishing Pad Rejuvenator was created to provide detailers with a fast and effective way to clean pads without soapy residue or foamy degreasers. (http://www.autogeek.net/dp730.html)

Pad cleaners still seem to be more expensive most other cleaners. I assume 3 tablespoons could be like 10 buckets if you mixed a full batch each time.
