Hi,

My garage is 27' x 19' x 9'

I've installed a 16' ridge vent garage
Garage attic insulation R30+
Goodman 1 ton mini split heat pump.
Garage door insulation
Water heater insulation
Sofit vent 54' or 27' on each side length of garage

I can have a comfortable 78F, but when the car comes into the garage, quickly the garage heats up 88 - 90+ F. It then can take 3+ hours to cool, to comfortable.

I'm interested in a ceiling mounted "Exhaust Fan" motor (perhaps V belt driven) in attic, with ducting leading to either the ridge vent, or it's own dedicated roof vent., controlled by stat. prefer 110v. The ceiling exh. inlet, would be directly above the hood, of the parked car.

Is this practical?
CFM's needed?
How many Air Changes?
Model of exhaust fan? this migh be more industrial type fan, than residential.

I see car coming into garage mini-split "off", vent fan auto start, from fan stat, run for 1 hour, re-start mini split.
