I did a Wash n Wax on this car , you cant see but its full of swirls that I couldn't see until I washed it. I called and explained how at minimum a light polish would do wonders for the appearance factor, his response was "is it shiny now" so I said yes but and he said "just wax it".
So most people only care about the shine "now"

Most people think swirls are normal, only a scratch or dent is a defect and if it shines its perfect.
