I've mentioned this before in another thread, but my dad and I are restoring our 1967 Mustang. I know it's the original paint job and I know it hasn't seen the light of day in 23 years (been in the garage at Grandma's). Basically, aside from a lot of surface dust, the paint is in great shape for a 48 year old vehicle. Do acrylic enamels easily correct?

Solid color or metallic?

With metallic it's possible to fracture the flakes causing tiger stripes if using a rotary.

Before you start, definitely take the time to read and digest this article:

The subject vehicle, a 70's Ford product, uses the same paint system as yours.

Redxray,

It's a non-metallic job. It's Springtime Yellow, actually.

BillyJack,

Thank you for the link. I've seen the article before, but I will study up on it.
