Working up a quote on a detail job for a 2006 Corvette.
Owner showed me the back of the drivers side seat and it has two mystery stains.
He does not know what the stains are as they were there when he purchased the car.

What I don't want is to carpet bomb the seat with chemical, extractor, Tornador, etc. I want to test in a small spot, by hand gingerly and gently.

First off, I need to know what the material is. The front of the seat is leather, the back is fabric, but what? Alcantara?

Second, each stain looks different.. The bottom one looks more oily than the top stain.

Again, we don't know what the stains are but I'm looking for some ideas.

No that's not alcantara.

That looks like something spilled out
onto the cloth seat backing material.

Or someone stuffed an oily cloth or
Bologna sandwich back there.

•Note (if you don't want to remove the seat):
-You can unzip the two zippers, to gain
better access to the despoiled area...

-Do a "test spot" by taking some upholstery
cleaner/Folex to the lower part of the stain.

-If you should have a citrus-based APC...or some
P21S TAW...use that, if the attempt with Folex fails.

Good Luck!
