Nick had asked me to review the new version of Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating, I happily agreed! Since I had previously used the original version, I was excited to give the product a try.

I started by washing my car with Mr. Pink and a foam Gun. Twice. I also clayed in between washes with my Zaino Clay Bar. Next step...Uber Compound 3.0 with my Griots 6"(5" Backing Plate) and Cyan Hydro-Tech Pads. Every time I use Uber Compound, I am just amazed. Great product to work with! Followed up with TSR. Paint was ready to be cleansed! I used Pinnacle Black Label Surface Cleansing Polish. Just like Uber...this is one of my favorite products to use. Very easy to work with and leaves the paint looking perfect! After cleansing the paint, it was finally time to try out the new product! Used a a Wolfgang Finger Pocket, sprayed it once to prime, and away I went. My first impression was it seemed to have a longer working period. Version 1 seemed to flash and dry up very quickly, which resulted in more sprays. V2 spread out easier, which decreased the need for more sprays. I also didnt notice as many high spots like I did with the original. It seemed V2 spread out easier and worked into the paint much better. Buffing away any excess was very easy as well. hardly any pressure was needed, which is always a good thing!

Over all, I would say V2 was much easier to work with. I definitely used less product than I did with the original, perhaps that was my mistake back then, but V2 just allows more working time before flashing. Its too early to tell durablity compared to the original, but I can already say that the glossy shine is already noticably better. The reflections are better than before as well. I always wondered my car didnt have the glassy reflections that some of you did, now I feel much happier with the reflectiveness of the paint, although some of you are just insane with how mirror like your paint is, wish mine was that good!

Pros:
Working time!! Much better!
Use less product
Glossier shine
Less streaking or high spots
Price. With how little product you actually use, this price point is great!

Cons:
I honestly cant think of any. Maybe when its time to compare the durability and protectiveness, that might change. Until then, none.

Would I buy? Absolutely! Very user friendly and anyone looking to try their hand with coatings, will find this very easy to work with, and at a great price point.

Questions, comments(good and bad) are appreciated! I plan to maintain with PBL Coating Booster and PBL Detailer. Also Pinnacle Waterless Wash(Wish PBL had a waterless wash.....ahem..Nick...;) ). I do have Synergy, but I am not sure I want to put wax on yet.

Ive blabbed enough! Here are some pictures. No editing, just resized/cropped for uploading. Enjoy the orange peel LOL

This last one the colors are off because it was inside, and the wall behind me is a light tan color.

Great job and review is spot on. Just finished a full bottle of V2. Even using it librally I was able to coat 4 medium sized cars. 2 5th gen Camaro, 2015 Chevy SS and my 06 GTO. Great easy to use product.

Thanks for the comments everyone. If anyone would find it useful, I can update when I do maintenance and comment on durability over time?

Looks awesome! Quarterly updates would be great - may I suggest giving a month before apply Synergy!

Great review and great work! The flake is practically jumping off the paint. Can't really comment on the paint color though....too much reflection! :)
