adding wind shield chip repair to the line up??

i've been thing of new "add-ons" i can start offering my customers, just small stuff to help increase sales. and the one thing i've been looking into is doing wind shield chip repair. is it worth the time to offer it to detail customers?

Not to sound critical...have you done 'chip repair' in the past?

I don't think it is as easy as the professional glass guys make it look.

Interesting idea, definitely a novel idea for detailers. I think you would need to do a lot of work to use up the quantity of resin before it's shelf life expired to break even. The other issue I see is that a lot of chip repairs go through insurance, so you're either going to have to deal with their payment terms (net 60 or 90) or only do the out of pocket work for a smaller group of people.
