So someone just scratched my rear bumper real badly..as seen in picture http://i58.tinypic.com/jtnbs1.jpg..
i have seen many video on youtube on how to fix this and got some decent idea how to fix this..ordering some primer, paint and clear coat along with sandpaper from Touch Up Paint and Accessories | AutomotiveTouchup (http://www.automotivetouchup.com/) my question is after sanding the surrounding area with sandpaper i need filler to make it smooth as possible..based on my search bondo doesnt work on plastic bumper..do i need this Amazon.com: Bondo 806 Easy Finish Epoxy Bumper Repair - 1 oz.: Automotive (http://www.amazon.com/Bondo-806-Finish-Bumper-Repair/dp/B000CINDQI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1439124030&sr=8-2&keywords=bondo+plastic)..

i dont know if it can be sanded or not. will be applying this afterward before i put the primer Amazon.com: Bondo 907 Glazing and Spot Putty - 4.5 oz.: Automotive (http://www.amazon.com/Bondo-907-Glazing-Spot-Putty/dp/B0002JM8PY/ref=pd_bxgy_263_img_z)

also found this but its bit expensive Amazon.com: 3M 05895 EZ Sand Flexible Parts Repair Tube - 5 oz.: Automotive (http://www.amazon.com/3M-05895-Flexible-Parts-Repair/dp/B000PELVT0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1439124178&sr=8-4&keywords=3m+bumper+repair)

let me know..i did all the costing with filler i have listed and touch up paint kit..comes out around 100...and new painted bumper will cost me around 235..so still thinking what should i do..

Did whoever hit it leave? If so your insurance should cover it with no deductible

Check with your insurance company. Hit and run should be 0 deductible

Hit and run typically falls under collision insurance... So you'll be in whatever your deductible is.

Here in FL a hit & run is what ever your collision deductible.

Is TX different? If so that is totally awesome if it is automatically $0 deductible.

Nix you got a raw deal. People just don't face their responsibilities.

why not just take bumper off, sand it all down and bring to a shop to prime/paint/clear? should cost under 200 for a quality job.

Not the case at all, you are responsible for your deductible in this case. Call your insurance company and ask them. My wife got rear ended 2 months ago in her brand new Sonata. The chick stopped, had no insurance, hauled a$$ and that's that. And I have USAA. They would not cover the deductible.

There is usually additional coverage you can carry for uninsured drivers. I was rear ended about a year ago by an uninsured driver and State Farm covered my deductible. I carry the additional coverage because I have heard horror stories before.
