Horse and carriage ride and hotel view

We had reservations at the hotel to take a carriage ride around the village that we were staying in at 18:00. This was the same day that we visited BMW World.

We left BMW World later than we planned and got into the car from the Welt at 4:45. My wife mentioned to me that we had to get back in time or we lose the reservation but still have to pay for it whether we go or not. I said no problem, when we get out of Munich and onto the Autobahn I will make up for lost time. We took her '11 328i wagon for the trip. When we finally got out of the city it was 5:15 or so and I had roughly 45 miles of Autobahn to cover. I had the car cranked up to 125mph and maintained that most of the way on the 'Bahn. We pulled into the parking garage with minutes to spare and made our trip.

I posted this to FB... "Man you gotta love the German Autobahn and precision engineered BMW. We left the BMW Welt late and my wife said we are going to be late to our horse and carriage ride back at the hotel. Don't worry baby, we are in a nice BMW with an unrestricted Autobahn ahead of us. Made it just in time!" Lolz

Such a pretty place! I was in Garmisch-Partenkirchen as well. But it was in the Fall and the cloud cover was so thick you couldn't see the alps. Summer is clearly the right time to go! Thanks for sharing Mike!!

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is very beautiful. I surely enjoyed my time there in the Bavarian region.

That is great that you also were able to see this area. We may be going back in early next year to do some skiing.
