Spray wax dry out or condition?

Is it a good idea to wipe down the door rubber or will it do more harm than good

I use D156 and see no side effect :)

I use 1Z Einszett Gummi Pflege Stift. Either that or Pristine Clean (never anymore though).

What's the point of putting a sealant on rubber seals?
