Detailed a 2007 Cadillac CTS-V for a friend of mine over the past weekend. He is planning on building this thing to the max, he is shooting to be the world's fastest Cadillac or one of the fastest in the world at the very least. He will most likely be running twin 76mm turbos, aiming for 1500HP and still use it as a daily driver. He just received the shell 2 days ago and it had been sitting in a shop for quite some time. It had swirls, dings, scratches, hard water spots, and contamination in the clear coat. My friend just wanted me to clean it up nice and put some protection on it because it will be sitting for some time while the build is in progress. I figured it was a perfect chance to test the newly reformulated Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating v2. Diamond Paint Coating v2 provides stronger water beading throughout the lifespan of the coating. A longer working time makes it even easier to apply the coating to your paint as well.

The owner of the CTS-V actually holds the world record for the fastest Pro Street naturally aspirated car. It is a Plymouth Duster. Pretty cool!

The newly reformulated Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating v2 was amazing to work with. It performed great even in humid outdoor conditions. The owner was shocked and now has even more motivation to get the project up and running and driving the car as soon as possible. Thank you for looking!

I have always been a fan of the CTS V series, 1500hp should be doable, but may be limited to tire size on the rear like in the earlier Corvettes. Traction is what will be that cars worst enemy.

The Paint looks beautiful....would love to see this car when its done. Is he going with a Crate Engine built with the turbo set up? Or? Just curious what he is doing there Tranny and Dif wise as well.

Jeff

I'm not quite sure about the specifics. I believe the block will be the LS Next. The build itself will be done by himself, he owns his own engine shop and has been doing it for years. Much of it will be his own fabrications. I believe the turbos will be Bullseye Power. I will keep the thread updated when I find out more and as the build progresses. I'm sure there will be some touch ups in the future. He just wanted to make sure his paint was protected for the time being. Wheels and Tires weren't touched at all because those will not be sticking around for long.

1500 hp....shouldn't be a problem, is he looking to do the Texas Mile or something? I've seen the Lingenfelter TT's and it seems their all over 1000 hp, good luck to him and atleast it will be the cleanest car looking to be the fastest!!!

What, no mod pics?

If you talk about an engine you better SHOW pics of that engine.

Unless the car's owner has forbidden engine pics than say that they did.

By the way, did you get to clean under the hood?

Engine bay is empty - did not cleaned that. My friend just wanted the paint protected for now. This is a shell as of right now - you can clearly see the gap in the front wheel well in the pics. Everything will be getting built from the ground up. But like I said, I will definitely keep the thread updated on the build progress and the durability of the Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating v2.

P.S. This is his Drag Week record holding fastest Pro Street N/A Plymouth Duster running on pump gas though

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about :dblthumb2:

It will be nice to see what he puts in the caddy.
