Sitting around yesterday, wondered about this. If you would take the chemical sprayer..
Chemical Resistant Pressure Sprayers, pressurized spray bottles, chemical sprayers, pump spray bottles (http://www.autogeek.net/pressure-spray-bottles.html)

And mixed opti bond tire gel 1:1 in it, and then use it to apply a light even coat over the tires. Then spread it out with your foam applicator or the carrand tire dressing brush. What kind of results this would produce? I know you can dilute it 1:1 with their gun and air compressor. Curious. What do you think?

Feed back please

Noticed some sling yesterday even with opti bond! My guess is the aggressive sidewalls are pooling it and me applying too much product. My thought was i could control the application a little better this way. OR just go back to the carrand brush with LESS PRODUCT and a final wipe with a foam applicator. My old tires did not do this that i can remember. The sidewalls were much smoother. Just trying to stream line my application method. OR i am thinking just go with the foam applicator and for go the brush. THOUGHTS?

That's a rather neat idea. If You have an extra sprayer it'd be worth a shot. I've never used optibond, but I wonder if you'd get good enough atomization.

I believe Richy uses an air sprayer to apply tire dressing. I can't recall the model though. It may be an option if you have access to air.

Pro--you got the Firestone Destination LE2's, no? My wife has the same tires; lots of little nooks and crannies in those. I've found that using the tire brush circularly around the tire plus brushing outward toward the treads helps eliminate any pooling in the grooves that might sling. Watch the edge of the tire sidewalls where it meets the treads; those ridges like to collect dressing and they're tight enough to resist any sponge applicators trying to spread the dressing out. My current dressing is Eco Touch fyi.

Another option might be to place the 1:1 dilution into a mini spray bottle with a fine mist (one of the 3oz spray bottles from Target are pretty good--better than the ones at Wal-Mart). Spray the dressing on the tire and then brush the dressing that way?

Yea, The at's. I might give my idea a go around and see how it works.
