Good Morning,

I was hoping someone could give me some assistance on a KMC powdercoated wheel that is in rough shape. It is just one wheel that had a siezed brake during a rough northeast winter, and the brake went in a time that it was too cold to try and address it. After doing research, it seems like both the Sonax and Mgrs D140 are some of the more popular products, but I wasn't sure if the Sonax was strong enough, and if the Mgrs is safe for factory powdercoated with no clear. Any help would be helpful - pic attached.

THANK YOU

OK, that really helps - thanks. I wasn't sure if that was strong enough to get this off. It is absolutely awful to look at! What do you use to agitate? Brush?

Sonax with a Speed Master Jr. brush works for me.

I have a set of Method wheels on my Tundra. When they get heavy brake dust/debris I first wash with Meg's Non acid wheel/tire then ways with ironX paste. Also a coworker has those Rockstars and he washes his truck maybe twice a year. I let him borrow my stuff and told him what to do and they came out great.

just a quick note, you recommend Griots green and not Griots HD, any reason why?

If you had a seized caliper, you need an iron attacking wheel cleaner. Iron from the rotors are embedded in your wheels. They are all safe for PC wheels.

Their are numerous brands. The best OTC is Megs Dub. If your ordering from AG - get 1Z ColourTec.
