My wife's mommy mobile:

This car wasn't that bad to start off with, mostly RIDS from the dogs or boxes/car seats getting scraped across. It did have some swirls from the dealership mechanical car wash but those were only visible under special lighting due to the silver color of the paint. I mainly hate cleaning and waxing so much car so I wanted to try a coating to keep maintenance effort low. Review of products in 2nd post.

-Meg's Gold wash
-Black Magic Foaming wheel/Tire Cleaner
-Eagle One Prep Mitt
-IronX
-Meg's Gold Wash
-20% IPA wipe down and dry
-Masked off rubber seals
-D300 with Meg's 6" thin foam cutting pad (GG6 DA)
-205 with Griot's 6" Black Foam Finishing Pad
-20% IPA wipe down
-Optimum Gloss Coat (on everything except rubber trim and glass).
-Meg's endurance tire gel
-Black Magic spray tire shine (for wheel wells)
-Brush and Vac
-Meg's Interior cleaner
-Meg's leather conditioner
-Stoner Invisible Glass (After pics were taken)

IronX seemed like a waste (too new). There was no reaction on the wheels and only minor deposits around the back flat surfaces of the SUV.

Here you can see that there were only minor swirls, most of the damage was RIDS.

-IronX had little reaction. Likely because my car is too new (Around 20k miles) I definitely could have skipped this step.
-Eagle One wax prep mitt is my new best friend. At only $23 it is about the same price as a decent size clay bar. You don't have to worry about dropping it because it can be rinsed clean. It is WAY faster than a traditional clay bar. The only downside is that if you don't lubricate enough and it snags it leaves a black tar like streak that is very hard to remove without IPA or a de-greaser. I have done three of my cars with this already.
-D300 is very clean, has almost no dust or sling (because it is thick). It does not seem to have that much bite with a foam pad though. It was designed for MF though, which I didn't have access too at the local paint supply store.
-205 is nice with a long working time but dusts a lot.
-Optimum clear coat was a pain to apply for me. On silver flake paint, it is almost impossible to see the product on the paint unless I massively over applied. I went around the whole car twice to be sure and used 7 of 10 CC's in the syringe, covering the wheels and hard plastics too. I let it cure in the sun and other than on the "chrome" trim I didn't see any high spots. It does die the hard black plastic trim a nice dark shade, We will see how long it lasts.
