This pre-sold unit came from a wholesaler already "detailed". It definitely has a spot in the Swirl Hall of Shame. And the engine compartment must have a full bottle of Armor All covering the grease!

Ok...let's get some starting pics. Honestly, I couldn't believe anyone would pass this off as "just detailed"

So, out with the Extra Cut compound and cutting pad. After 8.5 hours of rotary use, I got 'em (passenger side + trunk only). Tomorrow, I'm breaking out the wool pad for the driver side and hood. Gonna try to shorten the swirl removal time.

Extra Cut Artwork...happy to be on the door!

Gotta say this car has been a butt kicker on swirl removal. I'm hoping to reduce the time with the wool pad tomorrow. I'll post the results on a separate thread...then I'll use 3M Swirl Remover and a Glaze Pad on the car.

I'm Tired!

I hope that dealer knows what you are doing for him, you turn a so-so car into a show room shine.

Yikes! Someone actually called that a detailed car??? Very nice turnaround so far. Can't wait to see your finished product.

You spent 8.5 hrs just on those two sides?!?! Yikes!! That makes me think I'm doing alot wrong.

no-no-no....8.5 hours on 1 side + trunk only! That's why I'm switching to the wool combo tomorrow. If the car wasn't in such bad shape, I could have done the whole car with compound in one day.

Great work master toto..

I myself have been amazed at some dealer 'details' over the last month while my wife and I have been test driving a few vehicles.. It's just crazy what can pass.

I have a hookup where I could get probably as much dealer work as I wanted, but they don't want to pay enough, and I don't want to cut work quality to fit within their budget, so I don't see it ever happening.

Great work man. Hey, it takes me a full day just to do a full exterior-only detail :)

After 8.5 hours of rotary use, I got 'em (passenger side + trunk only).

So you were spending like 2 hours per panel......with a rotary?? I dont get it:confused:

Man it looked like the previous detailer used just a cutting pad without any chemicals. That's an awesome turnaround.

Yep...that's about right on the time per panel. The clear coat on this car is super hard (unusual for black), I had some wet sanding on several nasty scratches, and the swirling is pretty deep. I'll flip the car on the rack today and get some better pics of the swirling. I'm hoping the wool pad use will cut my time in half.

This the one you were telling me about Richard? What the hell was that " detailer " thinking?!?! Nice work bro.

Wow..that thing was previously detailed.. really

I always enjoy the work you do Master Toto, I've learned lots from you. As for the 8.5hrs, it may seem like a long time but you can't rush perfection. I've noticed that it takes me the entire day to do just the exterior so I take about two days to do a complete vehicle. I don't like being rushed, that's just me though.

Look forward on final results Master Toto.

As always....great work toto

Must be a first timer regarding the other detailer,

We had sun here today, and i noticed on the parking lot that the rotary must be a common tool here, but not the stuff that goes with it. rotary, tw and wool pad dont rock on paint...
