Need help with spots

Im not a pro detailer but the detailing bug has just bit me because i just got a new car 3 months ago. I wash it every week. I even have clay'd it and put grios sealent on it. This week after washing it i noticed tiny spots all over it. I don't know what this is or how it got there. It almost looks like metallic paint flake but its on the surface and it wasn't there before. I can even feel the slight roughness. I tried using clay bar again, cleaner wax, water spot remover, even a drop of wd40 didn't affect the spots. What is this stuff and how do I get off? I don't know what to try and I'm looking for suggestions. I would prefer to wash and dissolve it off instead of getting abrasive. I do have access to a friends Grios 6" DA polisher.

It's even on the windshield but it can only be seen in the correct light. Look for the tiny dots around the border of the bright light.

What kind/cut of clay did you try?

It looks like some kind of overspray. Trying using a more aggressive clay on a test spot. If it does come off, get a 6" Nano Skin disk which will fit the Griot 6"....will save you a lot of time and energy.
