I am getting ready to finally place my order and have decided to go with XMT.

I have a couple of questions. I have two black cars in my stable, an 88 Corvette that needs A LOT of TLC (lots of swirling) and an 04 GTO that is well taken care of but has some minor swirls.

I was thinking about getting XMT #3 and XMT 360. The question I have is will the 360 remove any micromarring left behind by the #3? Should I also get XMT #1 to follow the #3? What is the normal steps to go through with a moderately swirled car? #3, #1 and 360 in that order?

Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would say the 360 Should do you just fine.

So the 360 will take away any micro marring left behind? I don't need the XMT #1?

Thanks for your help!

XMT1 is good for minor/moderate swirls. 360 for minor only. on your 88 i would start out with the xmt 3 and see where you need to go from there. on your GTO, prob xmt 1 then use 360 to maintain cars. what are you going to use for wax? if you have black and the money, go with either maxwax or if you really have money, Souveran

For wax I was going to get Megs #26. Don't have a whole lot of money to spend and don't think I would ever spend $80 on wax. No offense to some that did, it's just I don't have that kind of money!

The GTO has really minor swirls, nothing bad, but they are there. The 'Vette on the other hand needs some help.

Thanks for the info guys.

If you use XMT 3, I would follow it up with XMT 1 and then your choice of wax. As others said, in the future you can use XMT 360 to maintain your paint. XMT 360 also sounds like it would be good for your GTO.

I haven't experienced micromarring with XMT 3 personally. But you don't need to go XMT 3 -> XMT 1 -> XMT 360. You could cut out either the XMT 1 or the XMT 360 in that sequence. What Dust 2 Glory said is a good method.
