View Full Version : Lake Country Coating Applicator one time use?

are the Lake Country Coating Applicator one time use or are they re-usable, i coating a car with my brother using two of these applicators and after use cleaned the pad cleaner and dawn soap and the next day they are very hard, i guess there was still some coating left in them that dries

They may be one time use with certain coatings.

I think the best way to clean an applicator after a coating would be look up the MSDS and flush with whatever carrier they use as soon as possible after using. Probably a solvent. Then clean the solvent away like you did above.

This may be if the coating is not already starting to cross link in the applicator before you finish.

I don't think it would be enough to clean the applicator as you described. It probably needs to soak in a cleaning solution for awhile to make sure whatever product is embedded in it is broken down before rinsing it out to dry.
