I just bought the wife a 2015 Black Yukon and I told them dealership not to wash it....I just came off the truck two days ago. I figured they would give me some nasty swirls for free! I'm sure it has some light imperfections from the factory so what would you guys do on a new car prep? I have Megs AIO,UC,UP,UW,Menz 2500 and 4500. I also have a MT300 with Megs new foam discs. Thanks!

I'd Iron X , clay and Menz 2500/4500 top with either Fuzion, Black Ice, Midnight Sun or Souveran and that beauty would be shining in all it's glory.

I worked on a Cadillac SUV which was Black. I used Menzerna FG400 and then SF4500. If the car is in great shape (no real swirls) then Menzerna SF4500 should do. I used a White Pad Hybrid Pad from Lake Country for Polishing and an Orange Hybrid pad for Compounding. I just compounded the Hood and front fenders. The sides and everything else just needed polishing. Both were on speed setting 5 with my Flex 3401

Here are a couple of pics

Thanks for the link....loads of info in that! Glad y'all recommend the Menz since I already have it. I was wondering about what to use on top of the 4500. I've good things about all the products mentioned. Is Collinite really as durable as folks say? It gets 105+ here in West Texas in the summer and can be in the teens during the winter.

Congrats! Nice color choice.

Pretty nice selection of products on hand.

Option 1:
MT300, Meguiar's pads, UC, UP, UW.

Option 2:
Same as above but with Menzerna. I would put Menzerna PowerLock on here.

CJ!!! Where is the Show 'N Shine!? I need more than just that. Klutz. (Mean that in a good way)

Tsk Tsk.

That will work as well. I'd put two coats on of either option.

Have you thought about putting on a coating?

I've read some reviews on it and it seems it's really user friendly compared to the others. I've got to upgrade my products with all these new things coming out. I'd really like to try the HD products. I've got all the basic stuff like Sonex and Griot's wheel cleaner,Iron-X,almost all the Megs Detailers line of products,NanoSkin fine wash mitt,Pinnacle and Megs clay. It's a addiction....lol.
