Chemical Guys Foam Cannon 6 help

Hey guys, quick question,

I am having some trouble connecting my foam cannon to my garden hose. When I push the plastic piece into the garden hose, it just pops back out, and won't stay when the garden hose is turned on. Thanks!

You probably need a hose connector is my best guess...you can't just shove the black part into the hose...
