Does anyone use hot water through their deionizer? Was wondering if the hot temperatures would do something to the resin. My outside spiket only flows hot water.

Thanks for your feedback.

Don't do it, you need a special setup to run hot water. I'm not sure if it's the resin or the housings, but there is something that is a problem with hot water.

You're likely to get extra sediment from your hot water tank as well.

I called Griots garage since they sell one and was told that it is perfectly OK. Now I don't know what to do!

Oh also I am running hot water from a coil system. No hot water tank.

You know what? I maybe remembered what the problem is with doing this. Hot DI water is extremely corrosive, but since most of these systems today are plastic and you're going into a "rubber" hose, you're maybe fine. The car should be ok since the water isn't sitting there.

K. I hooked it all up and it seems to be running perfectly fine. TDS meter shoes a drop from 300 to .017 and there was 2 spots on the car compared to the 100's without. I'll provide an update in a few months in case anyone else wants to learn from this test pilot.
