Which is better or which do you prefer?

Of course there are different types of microfiber mitts, but generally speaking I find them are easier to clean than sheepskin ... and a clean mitt is a safer mitt. :xyxthumbs:

I like the MF mitts I have purchased from AG. I have a few yellow and a few black. So far they have held up well, but I only do my cars, and I don't detail for a living.

I have the CG mf mitt that is exactly the same or similar to the Gold Plush Micro-Chenille (http://www.autogeek.net/gold-plush-wash-mitt.html).

I much prefer mitts with all the little fingers!

I have a fine quality microfiber mitt and a Wookie's Fist that I have had for years.

I keep the Wookie's Fist clean and properly hang it up to dry correctly when done.

When do I choose what mitt to use? It depends on how clean the vehicle is I'm washing.

If the vehicle is clean and has a nice finish on the paint I'll use the Wookie's Fist every time.

I tried sheepskin mitts, they don't last long enough and the good quality ones are expensive and require special care to keep them good for longer..
I also tried micro chenille mitts (supreme gray and onyx black) but wasn't impressed and now use them on wheels and tires only..
I then tried the Incredimitt from microfiber madness and never looked back, I have 2 of them for my paint.. The best mitt IMO!

I hate those MF mitts with all the little fingers. I feel like they get way to heavy and for some reason they seem to drag across the paint. I dunno how to explain it but I don't like them. I got one of the (fake) sheepskin wash pads from here and used it a bunch and it's holding up just fine. Before I got that I was using the meguiars MF wash mitt that I also got from here. I like that one too but I rather the "pad" as I don't stick my hand it the mitt anyway.

Completely agree.
+1

Having heard that wool mitts don't last long, I bought two of the large ones and two small a couple years ago. Still using just the first ones. Yes, the do require more maintenance, but they are the best IMO.

Note that I've NOT tried CarPro's new MF mitts.

Dan.

MicroFiber Madness Incredisponge is absolutely the best item I've used to wash my vehicle. Cleaning is easy as well. Check it out.

Peace,

I used to prefer MF, until I bought a wash wedge; easy clean up & gets into some tight areas.
