Ultimate Detailing Machines with new switches are here!

As many of you already know, there was a problem reported with the on-off switch on the first batch of Ultimate Detailing Machines. David at The Perfect Shine, LLC has since been working to correct this issue. We are happy to report that we have received a new shipment of UDMs and all have the new and improved switches. Any UDM ordered from now on will have the upgraded switch.

If you have a UDM with the original switch, you can contact us and we will send out the new switch with the UDM owner’s manual, free of charge.

We strongly encourage everyone who has purchased a UDM to register your machine at the manufacturer website ultimatedetailingmachine.com (http://ultimatedetailingmachine.com)

Registration is required to receive warranty service.

We will gladly send out a replacement switch to anyone who purchased the machine from us. If you purchased the machine elsewhere, you can still get the replacement switch by registering your UDM and requesting the switch from the manufacturer.

If you have any questions, call or email us.

And if you haven't gotten your UDM yet stop by the site and see the packages we are currently offering.

I just purchased the UDM on Monday and I will be receiving it tomorrow. Does that mean I got the old one with the switch problem?

This is good news. The switch on mine is a pain. I love the UDM, but it so easily turns on and then fling! stuff is flying.

Don't they advise against it? They are designing a new counterweight system to allow the use of one though.

There was a maximum weight that the backing plate had to be...I forgot what it was though, but if you can find a 6 inch backing plate that's not too heavy, it will be fine. I really don't wanna spend 50 bucks to use a 6 inch backing plate, I'd rather find one that is light and would work well with the 1st generation UDM. I have read on another forum someone using a 6 inch backing plate that he bought from another vendor. He said it works fine.

Thanks for the info. If you find out what kind it was, please share.
