Ok guys and gals, my first show n' shine...

This is my brother-in-laws 2003 M5 - the dealer had it "detailed" before deliver but it still had swirls. Been looking forward to doing this one for him and finally got the chance last weekend.

Clay: Pinacle Ultra Poly Clay & Lube

Polish: XMT3 w/orange pad followed by XMT1 w/white pad

Re-washed: DG 901

Dried: Blower followed by Guzzler

Paint prep: Klasse AIO

LSP: MaxWax

Wheels: P21S gel

Tires: Non AG brand (OTC)

Glass: SIG

Comments and suggestions WELCOME!!!

Beautiful car, and great work on the detail. You saved another "dealer detailed" car. You have a very lucky brother in law!

Great detail! It's a good thing you could pick up when the dealer dropped the ball. You did a great job making that BMW shine. Seems like the first show and shine for most end up being a black car.

Ive seen so many fake M's and AMG's in Socal its not even funny. Most of them are older middle eastern people, its weird.

I got some pics of my wife helping out I should post up

Thanks for looking and for the encouragement. The car is exceptionally fun to drive and much better behaved than his old 911 turbo. :p

Sorry no leg shots this time...;)

It's hard to tell in the pics but this car is actually a very dark metalic blue.

Funny you mention that, Europe is notorious as well for Middle Easterners driving around in fake M vehicles. They buy the knock-off wheels, slap on a body kit and the badges. Turns out, it's really a diesel! Too funny...

Oh yeah! We have seen that before! Same with Audi S-cars! Many fakes around

haha wow that second one is not even close to an m5 haha (that's not even a 540!)

fake m badges ftl. the least they could have done would be to put on the m-tech kit, put in the fake grill, take out the tbar, and put in quad exhaust.

that is pathetic.

my next car is either an sti, m5 or sc 540.

love those cars!

great job on the detail btw :)
