I had already done a cut & buff using three step process with Pinnacle Scratch and Swirl, Pinnacle Polish and Liquid Souveran Wax.

But I went to a cruise night and (parents fault, not kids), kids ran over to my car and one kid drew circles in the drivers side door with her fingernails. Got home and looked at the door and sure enough, scratches (as the car was covered in pollen too).

I got out the 7424 XP & all the Pinnacle products and went to work on the door. Came out flawless!

No more scratches:

The problem was now the door looked better than the rest of the car, so the next day, I decided to use Megs D114 rinsless wash, and then go with DA 7424xp and HD Speed.
I used it in sunlight and was very happy with the results. I really like HD Speed and have used it twice now. It goes on easy, comes off easy.

The only thing I DON'T like about HD Speed is the bottle top (push pull button). When you close a small amount squirts from the bottle. A few times I had to clean up the spatter from the car. Sadly when it dries for several hours the little specs are hard to get out unless you use a mist wax. I wish they would just go to a regular cap like Pinnacle packaging.

Interior was done with all Pinnacle products as well.

Great job that red really pops, the menzerna bottles do the same thing when closing the top.

Nice job on the Mustang, that red is awesome.

Years back, I had a black Camaro and I was at my future Mother in Law's house, my 2 year old (almost) niece walked up to my freshly detailed car and began kissing herself in her reflection on the door, leaving smeary kid slobber marks. Everyone (but me) thought it was cute and hilarious. The little voice in my head was screaming "NOOOOOOO" and finally my future wife took pity on me and picked the girl up, taking her away from my car. Fortunately for my sanity, I had a clean diaper (we didn't have mf then and cotton diapers were "it,") and some quik detail spray in the back seat. I blame myself for parking so close to the house :(

Thanks everyone!

@Don, if we're on this forum, we're OCD about our cars. Our families should certainly understand that. I'm not OCD about my daily drivers, but the Red Pony... that's a different story.

On a different note, I'm happy with HD Speed, the quality and speed is certainly worth it's weight in gold. I could see using it as an AIO when I start my business.

@281 - Nice S197! Black is tough!
