I am going to detail my truck this upcoming week and plan to do Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion followed by Collinite 845. How long (or do I even need to wait) do I need to wait to apply a second coat of Collinite 845 OR apply Pinnacle Liquid Souveran on top?

That IMO is up to you. I usually do it about 3 to 5 days after. I will wash and add another coat. I have done it to the next day. Either way it is your preference.

Now, this is my opinion....but you will notice more depth, gloss and wet look. The fact that you are using 2 excellent liquid waxes help too. Either way you can't go wrong. If it were me...the 2nd coat would be Liquid Souveran...but now we are splitting hairs!!

BTW, you will get many different opinions whether to do it....or not a waste of time....can't tell the difference....etc. Do what YOU think is right!! At least I am in the 2nd coat camp!! When you do see if you can tell the difference. In my case, I did and it was for the better!!

Wow so you actually wait a few days and then do a complete wash and then the second coat...sounds like a lot of work haha

Applying a second coat shortly after a first is more to ensure complete coverage than it is to provide extra protection. In theory, I suppose waiting a few days before applying a second coat would allow the first coat to bond to the paint better and not have it be removed by the solvents of the second; that's merely speculation on my part.

IMO topping is purely recreational, but if you believe it adds something, go for it.

I would give it at least a day to make sure the wax has set up properly. I've noticed 845 darkening and getting a bit slicker the day after it's applied.

I put myself in the 1-coat-and-done category in most cases. The only time I double coat 845 is in the winter just to make sure it will last long enough. I've done just fine on 1 coat, but like the little extra confidence the car is well coated.

If I am lazy I will wait a couple of days and wash and then add another coat. But if I am not lazy...I will apply a 2nd coat the next morning. My car is garaged and usually when I finish the 1st coat I will do the 2nd coat the next morning.

But lately, I have been lazy!!....LOL!!

In the winter time I usually do the 2nd coat in the morning. In the summer times I like to wait a couple of days and enjoy the dusk/night washing/waxing

Again, IMO either way right after 1st coat, overnight, couple of days....it's just a matter of preference or in my case enjoyment with a little bit of laziness!!

I would do it after the first wash.
