After washing my car I still have etching from where the bugs have been. whats the best way to diminish these spots? Buffer? Compound? Repaint? Thanks

1. I try to remove bug guts asap. Really helps reduce the etching possibility.
2. If I see some etching I usually use a little polish or an AIO on the area.

Clean, clay, polish (compound if needed) then apply a good coating.
The love bugs come right off my CQUK coated Touareg.

Keep a good sealant or coating on the car and wash them off as soon as possible ... even if that means taking a detour through a self-serve wash and using their high pressure hose ... I would use just the spot-free rinse though - minimize the water spots from splashing water all over the front end.

Keep a good LSP on and keep a bottle of PB bug squash or DP bug remover on hand. Pre spray before a wash. Diluted as stated both will not remove your LSP.
