Anybody have a recommendation for a good 50' hose for a SunJoe SPX3000? It's a 1/4" hose with M22 fittings on both ends, so I suspect pretty standard. The 20' hose it came with is a little short since I cannot walk around an entire car without moving the pressure washer, plus the hose is a bit stiff. Thanks in advance!

I just bought a Simpson 50' 5/16" with M22 ends. It works well. It is light, doesn't have any memory issues (with staying coiled), and hasn't kinked on me yet.

Simpson model 40226

Are you using the SunJoe pressure washer? Would love to see a pic of the setup.

You could go the easier route and just buy this

Powerhorse Pressure Washer Hose — 50ft.L, Model# 646200514 | Pressure Washer Hoses| Northern Tool + Equipment (http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200632634_200632634)

yes, this set up is for my SunJoe :) I use it to wash my cars only because it's so quite and the PSI is managable :). I posted in another thread that i do have a pro-sumer gas power pressure washer with 3.5GPM/3000PSI CAT pump/Honda engine but it's loud as heck :) I only use it to do house wash and drive way wash. I don't want to point that thing to a car :) the recoil is like a .45APC compare to a .22 for the SunJoe :)

Yeah, i'll tried to take some pic tomorrow am and post it here in the pm.

Sure you can use that one. I saw it at the store yesterday and to me, it's a little flimsy for my taste.

The reason i did my setup that way was because i have 2 extra spare hoses sitting around (A 40ft and a 200ft). All i did was purchase two of these NorthStar Ball-Type Pressure Washer Quick Coupler Nipple — 22mm Inlet Size, 4000 PSI, Model# ND10037P | Pressure Washer Quick Couplers| Northern Tool + Equipment (http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200632738_200632738)

If i didn't have that 50ft hose already, i may consider the one you mentioned.

That's the same setup I use, too. Having quick connects on the ends of the hose makes everything so much easier. I quick connect to the gun (which is from Northern, too) and to the machine. When done, disconnect and store away.

It looks like the blue hose from Northern is similar to the Simpon hose I posted. Well, at least both have M22 ends and both advertise the same features, however I can't speak to the quality. I bought the Simpson instead because, like Snellville stated, the blue one looked a little flimsy. Even the bend restrictors are flimsy. The Simpson isn't flimsy, but it also may not be quite as good as the Non-marking hose he is using. That one is also a little more expensive at $70 vs $48. Probably can't go wrong either way.

Definitely use quick-connects, though. It's the way to go.

Also, and not to poop on what snellvilleauto will show, but I wanted you to see that what he and I have suggested are very easy. Here are pics of my setup. This is basically the same as what he's got, except the Simpson has M22 fittings, which means your quick connectors are M22 to 3/8", rather than 3/8" all the way around. His hose has different ends.

Here's mine:

Lee, I like the short wand. Is that an off the shelf part that is easy to find, e.g., Lowes, HD, etc.?

I have not looked for one but the versatility and ease of use are appealing.

Thanks, David! Not to threadjack, but here is what I used:

Quick Connector Couplings (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Power-Care-1-4-in-Male-to-1-4-in-Female-Quick-Connect-NPT-Coupler-AP31038A/202073584)

I know it says discontinued, but surely they still have a similar item, perhaps just a different brand. It should be easy to find.

The little extendo piece that IS the short wand (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cerro-1-4-in-x-3-in-Brass-Pipe-Nipple-P-113RB-B3/204700664)

Trigger Spray Gun (http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_22924_22924)

I love the short wand. I have the male end of the quick-connect couple in my foam cannon and the female coupler on the end of the wand. I can easily switch from cannon to spray tip. The short wand is so much easier to handle, too.

I took some pic of my setup today but didn't have time to upload them. Also my MTM cannon arrived in the mail today. Took a whole 60sec to set it up :) I did use it on my SUV and it's awesome. I've been using the Gilmour foam master for a few years and it works. However, the snow white foam that the MTM cannon produces is freaking nice. And the foam linger on the car a long time.

As caveracing stated, our setup is very similar. We probably using the same gun. We both have quick connect on our setup. I think mine may have a couple more QC. One being at the waterhose inlet, and another is the ballvalve that i used. I am using the ballvalve that has QC so i can shut off the water flow and change to longer wand if i need to. I LOVE using QC, it make your life so much simple, or maybe i am just LAZY :)

Oh yes... disconnects everywhere. I also have one on the water inlet as well as the matching one on the water hose. I keep a shutoff valve on the end of the water hose, too. This makes it easy to remove the water hose from the pressure washer when I do a final rinse. Close the valve, disconnect, open the valve. I don't have to go to the hose bib to turn it off/on. Like you said, quick-connects make everything so much easier!

Lee, awesome!! Thanks for info. Is the wand thread size on the trigger 1/4"? Is the input thread size m22? Will a garden hose fit the input or only the quick connector?

Thanks for the help...I'm going to get it.

David, no problem!! hat particular spray trigger has an M22 male inlet and a 1/4" threaded female outlet. I think it lists it on the specs when you scroll down. Do you have a Northern Tool where you're located? I bought mine in the store. I don't know if they still have the same selection in store now, but when I bought it, they had several from which to choose.

A garden hose won't fit unless you find a way to convert the hose thread to M22. So basically you can connect the M22-to-3/8" quick connector like I did or you can connect the pressure washer hose directly, assuming it is also M22.
