I can't seem to find a "garden" hose that I use for washing that doesn't kink. Been through a few already specifically branded with "no kink". Frustrating to say the least.

This is the one i am using. Sears.com (http://www.sears.com/craftsman-all-rubber-garden-hose-5-8-in-x/p-07169602000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1)
Never ever kink on me yet. And never leak either. Life time warrantee. If it ever leaks or bursts, bring it back to sears and they'll get you a new one. It's ~ $22 on sale and they go on sale pretty often.

Lee, thanks. One last question. Does the diameter of the pressure hose matter? The Simpson is 3/8" and it has been suggested that a 1/4" hose provides better pressure and flow for use with sun joe. Any truth to that or impact of using the 3/8"?

I like the Simpson you suggested, just checking to see if any concern before I pull the trigger.

Thanks...you have been most helpful in helping put my system together.

That's the exact same water hose I use, too. HA!! I had one at my old house for several years and left it when I moved. I bought another one on sale and I've never had a problem, either. As Snellville said, it never leaks or kinks. Best hose I've ever used.

My pressure washer, like most, came with a 25 ft 1/4" hose. I wanted to stay with a similar diameter as I thought going too big would reduce the pressure. The Simpson is only 1/16" larger than the original hose, so I figured this would be fine. Supposedly you lose a tiny bit of pressure as you go to a longer hose, but I think it is negligible. I didn't notice a change in pressure when I switched to the longer one. I've never seen an electric pressure washer (like the ones we all discuss here) that use a 3/8" hose, so I didn't want to chance it.

It does take just a few more seconds to get the air out of the hose before turning on the pressure washer the first time, but that's not a big deal at all.

Lee,

Thanks for the help. I'll post pics when I get it together.

Purchased a sunjoe3000 (from Walmart with 3 years of extra protection for $18), a Simpson 50' hose, brass fittings for water supply, and the wand/quick connect/short pipe supplies from northern tool. I am looking forward to the short wand set up that will be great for foam cannon and its ease of use.
Thanks for sharing your set up. I definitely benefitted from your previous experience -- it made it easy. Can't wait!

So I bought a whole set of M22 - 3/8" Quick Disconnect adapters at Home Depot, however the Female M22 end is too small to fit the Male M22 end on the SunJoe hose. Are there varying sizes of M22 connectors?? I thought an M22 was an M22?

No problem!! I look forward to hearing your feedback! I'm waiting for the spx3000 to go on sale again and plan to get one to replace my greenworks. I tried two ryobi models, but I'm more intrigued by the spx3000.

While I've never had an issue, I do believe there is a 14mm M22 as well as a 15mm M22. It is stupid. The Simpson hose accommodates both, so I didn't have any problem with the quick connects from HD. Hopefully you get it sorted. To heck with the sunjoe hose... Just get a better, longer, new hose!

Anywhere to buy the Simpson hose in a store? I'd love to pick one up today if possible.

Not sure....ordered from Amazon. I found the hose cheaper on another site, sent the info to Amazon, and the next day they dropped the price by $10. Got it for $50 and free shipping.

Unfortunately Amazon only has the 25'. Where else did you see it online?

40226 on Amazon is the 25ft version. The same part# on Zoro yields the 50ft model. I'm there. ;-)

Actually, 40225 is the 25' version on Amazon. The 50' 40226 comes and goes on Amazon. I had to watch for it and when it came back to the site, I bought it for $46. It is gone now, but I'm sure will be back.
