Whenever I get the opportunity to perform a paint correction much less a paint coating detail, it’s hard not to get excited. There is nothing that can beat the shine of freshly polished paint that has been freshly topped with a coating. We had quite the winter in Vermont this year and after numerous subzero days I am happy to say that the 2015 detailing season has arrived. At Critical Details we started off by performing a Minor Paint Correction, CQuartz UK, and Opti-Glass Application on this beautiful 2015 MK7 Carbon Steel Gray Metallic GTI S with Xenon lighting package.
It’s almost shocking how contaminated a brand new car can get in just 2,000 miles of driving. The GTI has not been washed since it was first purchased and the paint was relatively blemish free. The paint’s gloss and reflections were amplified by using a Rupes Big Foot 15 combined with Menzerna PO85 and a Lake Country gray buffing pad. The B pillars were polished using the Porter Cable PCXP to remove moderate swirl marks. To prepare the VW GTI for CarPro CQuartz UK the paint and wheels were wiped down using CarPro Eraser to ensure proper bonding.
CarPro CQuartz UK is a ceramic quartz paint coating that provides up to two years of protection.
