I'm using way too much product. I've used a mf towel, a yellow foam wax applicator, whats the best applicator. Maybe it's just me going a little overboard

I like applicators for gel tire/trim dressings
that are made from closed-cell foam.

Are you using it on tires, trim or both?

I personally like the tire ones that are split top/bottom (I get black ones from a diff site but similar to these) I love them...

IMO: One won't do.

I have a couple Lake Country versions of these and they are not that good. They shed and start falling apart after a handful of uses.

Just tires

For D163 I like to use either Carrand Brush & Shine Tire Dressing Applicators, tire brush, tire shine applicator (http://www.autogeek.net/carrand-tire-dressing-brush.html) or tire foam applicators, tire swipe (http://www.autogeek.net/tire-applicator.html). I put a bead across the carrand brush and that covers a good amount of the tire.

Are the way to go. All i use now with opti-bond tire gel. Never had luck with the foam applicators.
