Now I know why everyone says that Duragloss 111 is very similar to Zaino Z-2. After not being impressed with a bottle of 105, I finally ordered some 111 and tried it on my 2011 Ford Edge the other day. It was just as easy to apply as the Z-2 and it only took about a tablespoon to do my entire vehicle!!!! I'm hoping this 111/601 combo is a lot more durable then 105/601. If it even comes close to the Z-2's durability, I'll be using it for a long time.

Really surprised you didn't find 105 durable. I get 6 months easy out of one coat of 601/105. Going on 8 months with a base coat of 601/501.

Can't believe you'll see better life from 111 as the 105 is a newer formula.

Never found Z2 to protect that well against bird bombs and tree sap even though it was beading well.

I am interested in your process used for DG 105. How did you prep the car? How did you apply the DG 601/105 combo? What about the product did you not like? What was your routine prior to failure?

I'm a long time Z-2 user and it's always lasted me through the long Michigan winters. Two years ago I tried 105/601. I found it more difficult to apply by hand and I did not get the longevity I was used to compared to the Z-2 so I switched back. I ran out of Z-2 recently so I decided to give 111 a shot because it's always been compared to Z-2. My routine is pretty simple since I keep my vehicles really clean. A simple wash, clay and then a few coats of sealant. I applied the 601 before coating with 105 and 111 instead of mixing. What I really like about the 111 and Z-2 is that they spread like butter when applying by hand which I assume is because they are both pure sealants with no cleaning abilities.
