Today I was cleaning my old BMW 740il. This is one of the models that has glass headlight lenses. I noticed that one of the lenses is very clean and the other one has yellowed. How do I restore clarity to the yellowed one? I have search and the headlight restorations products that I see are for plastic headlight lenses. Are there any products or techniques to handle this?

odd, I have a 70 roadrunner with the original sealed beams and they are still perfect. Are yours sealed beams ?. If so moisture may have penetrated and in that case replacement would be necessary. If it is on the outside I have used Duragloss Nu Glass on windows and it has worked well.

The headlight is removable and the glass is even replaceable, but I don't see any moisture inside. Just the yellowing on the outside.

I would try the Nu Glass or maybe a plastic polish to see if it comes off. Preferably the Nu Glass.

Maybe try this: CarPro Ceriglass Glass Polish, windshield polish, water spot remover (http://www.autogeek.net/carpro-ceriglass-polish.html)
