Hey all, it's been a while since I've posted but I've recently acquired a "new to me" car that came with the dealership special...aka swirls galore!!!!

I work a ton and it is often hard to gauge when I will have enough free time to actually correct the paint and protect it.

So I was wondering. Would it be a bad idea if I were to completely compound, polish and seal one panel at a time and if I can't completely finish then come back and pick up where I left of?

For example if I was able to completely compound, polish and opticoat the drivers side fender and front door and then come back to do a few more panels a day or two later.

The car is daily driven so it will be out in the elements in between sessions.

Thanks guys!!

I work like that often. I usually use some 951 or Ultimate Quick Wax on the portions i havent yet done... so you cant see the difference as much.

So, if you ironX, clay and wash the car then complete the hood and front fenders, do you have to re-clay the part your going work on next? Rinless wash?

No need to re-clay. What I would do is rinseless/waterless wash the next panel before you begin polishing.
