I have some Wolfgang exterior trim sealant and I am wondering how you guys would apply it to plastic door handles without getting it on the door panel paint. Should I tape the handles off?

I'd tape the paint, off from the handles. :)

Just be careful and you shouldn't have to tape. It wouldn't hurt though.

I usually tape. If it is something that needs to get close to a line and for some reason don't want to tape, I use a disposable foam paint brush. They are cheap and the tapered end allows me to get in to tight areas as long as I'm careful. I buy them by the bag and use them once then pitch em.

You shouldn't have any problem getting WETS off your paint, plus it will make it bead like crazy.

I use the foam brushes as well. You can do most of the handles without any worries, when you get to the edge, work WETS into the tip of the brush, then apply. You can hold a business card up to the paint to mask it while working the edge; I always have a boat load of those handy. Same trick works well when doing the wiper cowl next to glass.
