i am in the process of restoring my home carpet. the carpet is clean and stain free, but it has lost all of it's "fluff". all of the pile has become flat in high traffic areas. i used my McCulloch 1375 with a triagle brush end and worked the carpet, it brought the pile back to life and completely changed the look and feel of the carpet. the only down side is the time it takes to do a section on carpet. i was thinking about grabbing a DA carpet brush to help speed up the process.

Has anyone used a DA brush on house carpet?

Yes I have, but I use it with a drill for more power.

I show and teach this for automotive carpet in my detailing boot camp classes (http://www.autogeek.net/detailing-boot-camp.html) and you'll see a brand new segment on "My Classic Car" machine scrubbing coming up.

Just stick with the gray flagged brush if you want or need to be careful. For stout carpet you can use the Aqua and for even stouter carpet you can go with the white.

The gray brush with the flagged bristles tends to rotate the best out of all the brushes and usually the brush I use on tires now.

Hands down, (no pun intended), machine scrubbing does a MUCH better job than hand scrubbing.

I used it on my stairs, works just fine!
