I finally got to detail one of the family daily drivers. It is an eleven year old Dodge Avenger that I purchased two years ago. It sits outside here in New England 24/7/365.
I purchased it from a woman whose husband had died. I was able to tell from the oil change reminder sticker that it sat under a tree in their backyard for a year and a half before I purchased it. My son has driven it for 6 months. The inside is another story for another day.

Washed Duragloss CWC
Blackfire Clay
Menzerna Intensive Polish
Menzerna Final Polish II
Duragloss PBA
Duragloss #105

I had previously detailed with OTC products by hand. In April I purchased a 7424, pads and pro polishes/waxes, microfiber towels, etc. My first detail was my Mercedes which I shared online a few months ago. I still read daily almost all forum threads...what an education I have received! Thanks for all the knowledge. The first image in the album is a before shot...

Man you have that red looking sweet. Looking at it: you would never known it sat under a tree for a year and a half. Awesome work! Thanks for sharing...

Red is a close second behind black for stunning finishes, and you can really see it in that Avenger. Nice job!

Thank you...I really enjoy detailing my cars....the Menzerna products are top notch and the Duragloss #105 is a steal price wise. I have some Duragloss #521 that I'm going to add some AW to. I think I will try 1oz. of AW in 10 oz of #521 and use it for QD

make sure you shake the 521 up and AW up before you pour into another bottle...

Great Job

Al...thanks for the tip....Have you mixed AW with a QD?...It's easy for forget those little things and in this case it would make a big difference in the final outcome....

yes I have been mixing AW with 521 and also 921 for a while now...works nice..just do not over do the AW....1oz to 10 like you want to do is fine...

I do 3oz to a 32 oz bottle....do not want to dilute the cleaner UV or anti static properties to much...since 521 has a bit more than the AW or 921

Thanks Al..You are correct...I talked with one of the owners at Duragloss and he stated that AW was never intended as a stand alone QD but to sprayed on a wet car prior to drying...continued use full strength can cloud the paints appearance... It is a very concentrated product....I will dilute 1 to 10 as you suggested...thanks again...

yes...when I told DG I use AW on dry paint..they were sorta asking me how it works like that...lol...they made it to use on wet paint....so it dilutes some..but I found it works 100% better on dry paint and really lasts that way..but once a month is best..or it will build up..but using the 521 or 921 seems to keep it in check....
